Montgomery Farmers Market Expands into Community Hub with Youth Program
A fresh idea is taking root at the Montgomery Farmers Market this spring. Thanks to the support of Heritage Bank, a new Young Entrepreneurs booth will give aspiring business owners a chance to showcase their ideas, test products and connect directly with our community.
“The farmers market has always been a place of connection, and now it’s also a launchpad for innovation.” City of Montgomery Mayor Lee Ann Bissmeyer said “Thanks to Heritage Bank’s support, these young entrepreneurs are getting a chance to be seen, heard, and supported by their community.”
Montgomery Farmers Market is now celebrating its 15th season, the Young Entrepreneurs Booth will offer residents ages 8-18 hands-on experience bringing business ideas to life in a real-world marketplace. The program fosters creativity, confidence, and early entrepreneurial skills while investing in the next generation of local innovators.
The market is open starting Saturday, May 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Montgomery Elementary School, 9609 Montgomery Road. See you at the market May 16th.
