Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Parade and Ceremony


On Saturday, April 5, the City of Mason, in partnership with the American Legion Post 194 is hosting a parade and ceremony to honor the brave men and women who served during the Vietnam War. 2025 commemorates the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War and this event will provide an opportunity to pay tribute to the veterans and offer them the welcome home recognition they may not have received at the time of the war. Vietnam veterans throughout the region are invited to be part of the parade and ceremony on April 5. To register yourself or a loved one who served in the Vietnam war, please complete a brief questionnaire that is located on the American Legion Post 194 website at https://masonamericanlegion.org/index.php?id=110. Individuals, groups or organizations interested in volunteering as part of the Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Parade and Ceremony, can visit the American Legion Post 194 website to learn more and sign up: https://masonamericanlegion.org/index.php?id=110. The event will feature a parade of Vietnam veterans that begins at 10:00 a.m. Community members, family, friends and guests are encouraged to gather along Lakeside Drive from Mason Montgomery Road to the entrance to the Mason Municipal Center. The parade commences at Mason Intermediate School, travels to Lakeside Drive, and will conclude at the entrance to the Mason Municipal Center. A ceremony will begin immediately following the parade inside Mason Municipal Center at 6000 Mason Montgomery Road. The ceremony is anticipated to begin at approximately 10:30 a.m. and conclude at 12:00 p.m.
