Best Buddies Friendship Walk Returns to Hamilton for a Celebration of Inclusion!
The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is coming back to Marcum Park in Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, April 12, 2025! This free, family-friendly event brings the community together to support friendship, leadership, and inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Since its inception in 2009, more than 250,000 participants have walked in over 80 cities across the globe, raising over $24 million to sustain and expand Best Buddies programs. Locally, program participation has grown by nearly 60% since 2020, increasing the need for funding to continue providing life-changing opportunities for individuals with IDD across Southwest Ohio.
The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is more than just a walk—it's a family-friendly, community-wide celebration of inclusion. In addition to the walk itself, attendees can enjoy games, interactive activity stations, music and dancing with DJ Vinny, and plenty of food, snacks, and beverages. Special guests include Miss Ohio, Madison Miller, and other local leaders. The event welcomes individual walkers, families, corporate teams, and school groups, all coming together to promote friendship and inclusion for people of all abilities.
The Greater Cincinnati Friendship Walk already has over 215 participants registered so far, all working toward surpassing the $60,000 fundraising goal. Registration begins at 10:30 AM, and the Walk will start at 11:15 AM at Marcum Park, located at 116 Dayton St, Hamilton, OH 45011. Proceeds from the event help fund one out of every five dollars needed to sustain Best Buddies programs across Southwest Ohio, ensuring individuals with IDD continue to have access to friendships, career opportunities, and leadership development.
Walk to include. Walk for friendship. Walk for a more inclusive Southwest Ohio.
