Music in Kenwood is pleased to invite you to its third annual Messiah Sing-Along celebration! This year’s concert takes place on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 2:30 PM in the sanctuary of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7701 Kenwood Road.
A professional orchestra with soloists will be led by conductor John Sikora. Choral singers who have fond memories of singing Handel’s Messiah are invited to be a part of the choir. No prior rehearsal will be necessary! Come sing some of the beloved choruses of this great masterwork, from And the Glory of the Lord to The Hallelujah Chorus. Music will be provided for singers at the door.
Sing-Along Messiah is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be taken to help defray the expenses of the concert. For more information, please consult our website: https://www.goodshepherd.com/music-in-kenwood
Music in Kenwood serves the city of Cincinnati and the surrounding communities by offering a series of diverse concert programs that educate, engage and entertain. Sponsored by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Kenwood, the series celebrates the grace of God through the gift of music. The concert series was created in 2022 as an extension of the worship and music program at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. In its first two seasons, the concert series has presented a wide variety of musical programs, from organ recitals that feature the church’s fine Bunn-Minnick pipe organ to choral concerts that feature singers and instrumentalists from the church and the community. Highlights include the annual Sing-Along Messiah concerts and presentations of landmark choral works, including Requiems by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Gabriel Fauré.
