Music in Kenwood concludes its lively season with a choral program that will make you want to dance! Come and experience a delightful spring afternoon of courtly dances, spicy tangos and romantic waltzes sung by Cincinnati Camerata, including choral music by Ralph Vaughn Williams, Marlynn Rey, and King Henry VIII himself! The program culminates in the beloved Liebeslieder-Walzer for choir and two pianists by Johannes Brahms. Don’t miss this unforgettable performance of rhythm, romance, and revelry that will lift your spirits and set your heart dancing. Cincinnati Camerata is a mixed-voice choral ensemble of accomplished volunteer singers that focuses on chamber and contemporary classical music from medieval chant through living composers. They present a full season of wonderful programs at locations throughout the Cincinnati area. Openings for singers are competitive with a limit of 8 singers to a part. Ben Owen is a composer, pianist and organist with a pastoral nature and a verve for sacred music. In addition to his role as Artistic Director of the Cincinnati Camerata, Ben serves as Director of Music Ministries and Choirmaster at Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church in Cincinnati where he conducts two weekly adult choirs and overseas a comprehensive music industry and staff. Music in Kenwood serves the city of Cincinnati and the surrounding communities by offering a series of diverse concert programs that educate, engage and entertain. Sponsored by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Kenwood, the series celebrates the grace of God through the gift of music.
