Dulcé Sloan is an Emmy Winning comedian and actress who has won over audiences through performances on the live stages, in television, film, radio and as an author. Most recently a correspondent on Comedy Central’s Emmy Winning "The Daily Show" with Trevor Noah, she has been hailed by Variety Magazine, Rolling Stone and Timeout LA as a Top Comedian To Watch. In addition to her Emmy, she has won a Webby Award and two\NAACP Image Awards, and has been nominated for aCritics Choice and GLAAD Award. She has also been honored as the NBC Stand Up Showcase Winner, aMontreal Just For Laughs New Face and as a Comedian to Watch on "The Steve Harvey Show".Dulcé offers a fresh and honest perspective that eviscerates the status quo. She can currently be seen in the FOX animated series “Great North” alongside Jenny Slate and Will Forte. She is featured in Netflix’s most recent stand-up series VERIFIED, and she can also be seen in the feature film Chick Fight alongside Malin Ackerman and Alec Baldwin, which The Hollywood Reporter hailed her as “not just stealing the movie but making sure that no one else even comes close.”She is a regular on NPR’s “Wait Wait Don’tTell Me!” and has also appeared multiple times on the CNN New Year’s Eve Special with AndersonCooper andAndy Cohen, Netflix’s “Dinner Time Live,” CBS’ “After Midnight,” and has made multiple appearances as a correspondent on "E! Commonwealth Comedy Club is Cincinnati’s home for exquisitely curated live entertainment. Each week we bring you hilarious stand-up comedians, intimate concerts, unique theater productions, live podcast recordings, and so much more.
Commonwealth Comedy Club is housed in the recently renovated, historic former Tower Methodist Church, originally built in 1914. It is no longer a church! Rather, we have converted the purpose of this beautiful old building to bringing you exquisitely curated live entertainment. We have, however, gone to great lengths to preserve the original character of the building while updating for it’s new purpose. We retained all the original stained glass windows and custom-built, curved pews.
We have added a full concession stand with draft beer and wine, as well as a full bar. We partner with local Dayton, KY business Kate’s Catering for our prepared food options. We have added full lighting and sound systems, as well as a complete broadcast-quality video system for recording events and live podcasts. We are exclusively partnered with Third Rule Media to produce our recorded content.
