This interactive workshop is a welcoming space for trans performers and voice teachers alike. Designed for beginners, “begin-againners,” and experienced professionals seeking new tools, participants will gain:
- Practical strategies for developing and evolving their voice through transition.
- Insight into selecting affirming and accessible repertoire, considering range, vocal health, musical level, and sensitive subject matter.
- Techniques to better understand and advocate for trans voices in theater, choral, and voice studio settings.
Voice teachers will also learn concrete tips and tools to support trans students, helping to create affirming and effective learning environments. No special materials are required, and participants are encouraged to come as they are—bringing their curiosity, joy, and questions to an affirming space where all are invited to vocally play, explore, and grow.
