The “Citywide” Yard Sale is designed to focus on the first two of the 3 Rs: reduce and reuse. Participants have the opportunity to “get rid of” unwanted materials while making a small profit. This allows for the reuse of older items while reducing the amount of materials immediately entering the landfill.
Registration
Resident sale locations are registered and promoted through newspaper ads, the internet, bulletin boards, and city maps with street locations. Individual homes can be locations for yard sales or
several homes can join and hold a yard sale at a centralized location.

About the City of Forest Park
Forest Park was founded in 1956 as a master-planned community on land divested by the federal government after World War II. The community grew rapidly, was incorporated as a village in 1961, and became a city in 1968.
Guided by a master plan to develop its 3,800-plus acres, Forest Park integrates commercial developments and neighborhoods while leaving the surrounding greenbelt virtually undisturbed.
Forest Park is now the second largest city in Hamilton County, Ohio, with approximately 20,194 residents in 8,000 households. The city is located 14 miles north of downtown Cincinnati, 35 miles south of Dayton, and within 125 miles of Columbus, Indianapolis, Louisville, and Lexington.
