Anderson Theatre Presents "The Tempest" January 31-February 2
Cast onto the shore of a mysterious island, young Prince Ferdinand cannot help but fall in love with the innocent Miranda, who has lived on the island for most of her life. But her father, Prospero, is not just a mighty sorcerer, he is also a banished Duke who has his own plans for the castaways. Add in a spirit of the air named Ariel and a witch’s monstrous son named Caliban, and you have the makings of a fantastic night of adventure.
The Tempest is thought to be one of the final plays written by Shakespeare, and he expertly combines comedy, drama and even music to tell a captivating story of love, revenge, and magic. Audiences will be swept up in Prospero’s spell and captivated by this unique and surprising story.
