Toothwort, Bloodroot and Liverleaf...Oh My! It’s hard to imagine that these gross names are associated with wildflowers that carpet the forest floor in an explosion of color the early days of Spring...so join us on FRIDAY, March 20 from 1:00 - 2:30pm at Cincinnati Parks’ California Woods Nature Preserve (near Lunken Airport).
During the Naturalist guided hike, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation of their diversity, short life cycle and role in the woodland ecosystem plus delight in hearing legends and folklore of these amazing plans. Each participant receives a colorful Ohio wildflower guide to aid in species ID on future hikes.
Put in the request now at work to be off so you can celebrate the first day of Spring OUTDOORS with other nature loving women!
Cost: $10 per person to cover the program fee and refreshments.
