Loveland Art Festival

The ninth annual Loveland Art Festival is being held Saturday, September 5 from 10am until 4pm. The show highlights local artists from a wide variety of genres, including jewelry, fiber art, photographs, pottery, glass, paintings, wood working, mixed media, fresh flowers, sculptures and much more. The art show has outgrown its original venue and is moving to a Loveland’s spacious Nisbet Park, 126 Karl Brown Way. This family friendly event will have two food trucks, Skyline Chili and El Vaquero, to keep shoppers fueled and hydrated. There will be three live musicians performing during the festival: Clark Jenkins, Alpha Frierson and Creep It Real. "It’s going to be another amazing show. There will be over 80 artists showing their work. The Loveland Art Festival offers tremendous variety and selection, so there is something for everyone. It is a great way to shop local and to support local artists,” commented Bonnie McNett, show co-organizer. "The setting is just perfect with lots of expansive shade trees and the beautiful Little Miami River ambling by," she added. The Loveland Art Festival is a juried show with over $1,000 in prizes for winning artists. There will also be a ‘People’s Choice Award’ with the winner determined by public voting. Back this year are free, reusable shopping totes stuffed full of goodies that will be distributed on a first come first served basis. The show will be supporting two local non-profits: The Loveland Museum Center and Raptors Inc. In addition, the show will have a booth featuring high school students who will be displaying, talking about and selling their work. The Loveland Art Festival has partnered with Loveland High School for seven years and is pleased to facilitate this real world experience for art students looking to sell their work. The Loveland Art Festival is being held at 126 Karl Brown Way in historic, downtown Loveland on Saturday, September 5th from 10am until 4pm.
