Naperville Chorus "Swingin' Into Christmas" with the Pete Ellman Big Band

Tickets are now available for The Naperville Chorus’s Holiday 2024 Concert, “Swingin’ into Christmas with the Pete Ellman Big Band,” featuring both foot-tapping jazz and traditional arrangements of seasonal music. These holiday classics will be paired with John Rutter's "Gloria", composed in 1974, and described as "exalted, devotional, and jubilant" by the composer. The Naperville Chorus has performed concerts during both the holiday season and the spring for nearly 50 years. This year's Christmas concert will be the 8th collaboration between the Chorus and the Pete Ellman Big Band. This program is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council. The Naperville Chorus was founded in 1976 as an organization dedicated to the advancement of choral music, the encouragement of participation in group singing, the development of the appreciation of good music, the presentation of choral programs, and the encouragement of cultural music in the community. Since 2008, the Chorus has been privileged to call the Wentz Concert Hall and Fine Arts Center their performance home. The Naperville chorus is pleased to be sponsoring Toys for Tots at their holiday concert. Those willing to donate should bring an unwrapped toy to play in one of the drop boxes in the lobby on the concert day.
