Midwest Jamaica Corps Announces “Hurricane Melissa – One Love for Jamaica” Fundraising Event in Chicago
Chicago, Illinois — May 16, 2026 — The Midwest Jamaica Corps (MIJAC), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to community service, cultural engagement, and international support initiatives, will host its “Hurricane Melissa – One Love for Jamaica” Fundraising Event on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 7:00 PM to Midnight at Visions Odeum Events, 11901 S. Loomis, Chicago, Illinois.
The event will bring together community leaders, supporters, and friends to raise funds for hurricane relief efforts and community initiatives benefiting Jamaica. The evening will celebrate Jamaican culture, resilience, and unity while supporting those impacted by Hurricane Melissa.
The program will feature Keynote Speaker, the Honorable Lester Barclay, Esq Jamaican Consul, who will highlight the importance of international collaboration and community support in rebuilding communities affected by natural disasters.
During the evening, the Midwest Jamaica Corps will recognize distinguished leaders whose service reflects a strong commitment to community and excellence. The 2026 MIJAC Honorees include:
