Artemis Singers, Chicago’s lesbian feminist chorus, “All About Love” concert


Songs on the program include Chappell Roan’s “Red Wine Supernova,” Toshi Reagon’s “Real Love,” and Joan Armatrading’s “Love and Affection.” Artemis will present "Seven Day Kiss" from the poem by June Jordan and composed by the late Dr. Bernice Johnson Reagon. The program features love songs, breakup songs, friendship songs, sapphic songs, and more. The chorus is showcasing lesbian songwriters of all generations. Founded in 1980, the 53-member chorus specializes in performing music written or arranged by women. General admission $25 adults. Tickets are also available on a sliding scale suggested donation of $12 - $50. Artemis Singers is a 501(c)3 not for profit corporation. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Tickets are free for children age 12 and younger. The building is wheelchair accessible. A free parking lot is nearby.
