Bombazo with Jorge Emmanuelli Náter
Visiting Artist-in-Residence Jorge Emmanuelli Náter leads students and the public in a traditional bombazo. A bombazo is a Caribbean drum, dance and chant party with Bomba music from Puerto Rico; where the dance movements of each participant are interpreted on the drum while everyone else sings joyful, rhythmic chants for a big community celebration. There are no spectators, everyone participates in the music and the dance.
Free and open to the public.
