Glitter and Groove: Classical Remix
Love to dance, but past the club scene? Enjoy dressing up, but have no place to go? Prefer to procure your fitness in the form of fun?
Glitter and Groove was created to capture all the fun of dancing at a wedding, but without all the annoying nuptial interruptions. Each month features a theme for the music and attire- but you're always welcome to come as you are. This event is for all genders, body types, and levels of ability-- dance should have no judgement, only joy!
April 2: Classical Remix
Music: Remixed and modern classical music. New takes on old themes. Old takes that are still hot.
Suggested Attire: Corsets and cravats. Bustles and bowties. Panniers and powdered wigs with jeans and tshirts.
The Newport Theater is a beautiful burlesque and variety venue with a full bar offering both alcoholic and n/a craft cocktails.
