Molina Healthcare of IL and Local Organizations Partner to Host a Mother’s Day Celebration in Summit
Molina Healthcare of Illinois (“Molina”) is partnering with Alivio Medical Center, Parent’s University, and the Illinois Department of Public Health to host a special Mother's Day Celebration in Summit focused on expanding access to preventive care. The event will offer free health screenings, including glucose, blood pressure, BMI, and HIV testing, along with educational resources on breast and cervical cancer prevention. Attendees can also receive referrals for mammograms, enroll in WIC and SNAP, and access information on behavioral health, family planning, and services for older adults. Molina representatives will be on site providing educational materials, food, and giveaways. Those interested in attending this event must register by May 22.
In Illinois, 13% of women report not having a personal doctor or health care provider. Through this event, Molina and community partners are working to close that gap by expanding access to preventive care and health resources. This initiative is just one component of Molina’s work to build healthier communities.
