She Takes Flight: Mosaic Art by Judy Steed: Opening Reception
In honor of artist and longtime River Forest resident Judy Steed, who passed away on March 19, 2026, her family is displaying her mosaic artwork at the Library throughout the month of May. All proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association, an organization dear to Judy’s heart.
A talented artist, Judy was also a caring mother, adoring grandmother, cherished wife, fierce friend, and enthusiastic lover of life. The Library was privileged to host Judy’s art exhibitions for more than fifteen years, and her shows were always eagerly anticipated and deeply cherished by the community.
Community members are warmly invited to gather, view her art, and celebrate her memory together.
