Theater for Charity's production "The Prom" auditions late July - supporting Youth Outlook

Theater for Charity (TFC) is a community driven organization. Our mission is to bring people together through theater while giving back to the community. TFC is proud to share exciting milestones as we prepare for our fifth production since relaunching in 2023. The Prom is a heartfelt musical about inclusion, acceptance, and standing up for what’s right. When a small-town high school student is banned from bringing her girlfriend to prom, a group of eccentric Broadway actors swoop in to help—bringing plenty of humor, heart, and a little chaos along the way. With music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Chad Beguelin, and a book by Bob Martin and Chad Beguelin, the show blends catchy songs with powerful storytelling and celebrates love, identity, and the courage to be yourself. This production is especially meaningful for Theater for Charity, as all profits from The Prom will benefit Youth Outlook, an organization that supports LGBTQ+ youth in Illinois and promotes a safe, inclusive community for all.
