Housing Discrimination: An Historic Perspective

Join Donna Sack and Sarah Doherty at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at Oak Park River Forest Museum to explore digital humanities and public history projects addressing housing discrimination. They will connect Oak Park's stories to broader national narratives. They were key team members of the award-winning digital exhibition, Unvarnished (unvarnishedhistory.org), funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and including OPRF Museum as a partner. This free March 1 program also offers one of the final opportunities to visit the museum’s exhibit "Open House: The Legacy of Fair Housing" before it closes later in March. Doherty joined Frank Lipo as the co-curator for the exhibit, which won an Award of Excellence from the Illinois Association of Museums.
