Hope and Art: A Night at the Opera with the Illinois Prison Project
Join the Illinois Prison Project for a special night at the Lyric Opera House to explore the deep connection between art and hope. Doors open at 5pm for a happy hour with cash bar; our program starts promptly at 6pm. This FREE public event includes a musical performance by Lyric artists, a screening of "In Their Hands," the powerful new documentary about IPP client Ronnie Carrasquillo's fight for freedom; and artwork by formerly incarcerated IPP leaders Vincent Boggan and Renaldo Hudson. Supporters can also purchase tickets to a post-event fundraiser reception, which includes food, open bar, and networking with leaders in the movement to end mass incarceration.
