In 2020, she launched The Good Grief Project to connect communities of color with accessible mental and spiritual wellness practitioners. Her full-length play, BRUJAJA, premiered as a theatrical film with UrbanTheater Company in 2021. As a stand-up comedian, DuPrey has performed in major cities across the U.S., including Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles.On television, she has portrayed Dr. Sara Ortiz on Grey’s Anatomy (ABC) and appeared in Empire (FOX), The Resident (FOX), Chicago PD (NBC), The Chi (Showtime) and the award winning How to Die Alone on Hulu. Her theater credits include performances with Teatro Vista, Court Theater, Goodman Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, and more. DuPrey is also an Ensemble Member at UrbanTheater Company and teaches performed narrative at institutions such as DePaul University and Randolph College’s MFA program.
