Molina Healthcare of IL & Pillars Community Health | Prioritizing Women's Health (La Grange Park)
Molina Healthcare of Illinois (“Molina”) is partnering with Pillars Community Health to host a “Prioritizing Women’s Health” event in La Grange Park, in celebration of Mother's Day and Women’s Health Month. This educational workshop will focus on cervical cancer awareness, prevention, and early detection, featuring a presentation from Molina’s Medical Director, Dr. Marina Claudio. Molina representatives will be on-site to distribute educational materials and giveaway items, and light refreshments will also be provided. Pre-registration for this event is encouraged as space is limited.
Cervical cancer screening is critical to improving health outcomes – more than 90% of women diagnosed at an early stage live for five years or more, compared to about 19% of those diagnosed with late-stage cervical cancer. In honor of Women’s Health Month, this event is designed to provide supportive information while connecting attendees to local care and resources.
