Asset-Based Community Development Institute Gathering
Connect with fellow practitioners and celebrate creativity, leadership, and community-rooted wisdom at the 2025 ABCDI International Gathering!
The ABCDI International Gathering will explore how the timeless principles of ABCD—first captured in Building Communities from the Inside Out—are being reimagined in the face of cultural change, technological evolution, demographic transitions, and shifting societal landscapes. Affectionately known as The Green Book, authored by ABCD Institute co-founders Jody Kretzmann and John McKnight, that has inspired community builders around the world for more than 30 years.
Now, we’re looking to build on that legacy by spotlighting new voices, insights, and approaches from today’s ABCD practitioners. Sign up at abcdinstitute.org/gathering to join us in Chicago and nominate an ABCD Innovator in their field to help shape the future of community development.
The Gathering includes a plenary discussion, presentations from Innovators, and working discussions.
Registration Fees:
$200: Organizational Practitioners with budgets less than $1 million
$450: Organizational Practitioners with budgets between $1 million and $5 million
$650: Organizational Practitioners with budgets over $5 million
$100: Students and Community Practitioners.
Registration includes two breakfasts, one lunch, and non alcoholic beverages. Community members who need fees waived or reduced can contact admin@abcdinstitute.org.
