Room for Everyone? Climate Migration and the Future of Chicago Housing

New America, a nonprofit organization, is looking for residents from the West Side to share their thoughts about tools and strategies to improve the area's housing amid climate change and population growth. This interactive community design session will involve community members, nonprofit leaders, and policymakers. The purpose of this community design session is to co-create a realistic and preferred future vision for housing and community development throughout the West Side amid anticipated climate migration and adaptation. We plan to use our findings from the session to propose new policy solutions that ensure community members can remain in their communities and build for the future. No previous knowledge of climate migration or climate change is needed. We just want to learn from you.
