Studio 55: Celebrating 55 Years of the Fund for Justice
Calling all advocates, researchers, public interest lawyers, and anyone passionate about disrupting systemic injustices in Chicago's legal system: on June 12, 2025 from 6-9PM, Chicago Appleseed will host its annual Summer Social to connect our community and share space with those supporting our work. We'll have catering from Kuma's Corner (hello, sliders!), drinks, games, and indoor/outdoor fun, all with a 70's theme! Tickets are live at chicagoappleseed.org/tickets.
Now more than ever, it's important to remember where we've been to give direction and meaning to where we're going. Thats why this year, as we celebrate 55 years of research and advocacy by the Chicago Council of Lawyers and Chicago Appleseed Center for Fair Courts, we're not just celebrating our accomplishments over the years -- we're taking a good look at how the seeds we planted took root and are now growing in today's rapidly changing political environment. Join us as we reflect on our history and contextualize our most pressing projects right now, to learn how you can help us combat systemic oppression in Chicago's civil and criminal legal system.
