Together: Dave and Dan Duet
Together is a cabaret concert about how two entertainers (Daniel Johnson and David Stephens) met at Gay Pride in New York City and what happened next in their long-term relationship: eventually making their life together in the Oak Park area.
With songs by Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter, Dave Frishberg, Cy Coleman, Rick Ashley, Richard Rogers and many more from Stage and Screen and TV, these seasoned cabaret singers (Soulful Seventies Sounds and Wilde and Woolley) and longtime members of OPALGA+ will amuse and transport the listeners with stories from their lives as out gay men relocating to the Oak Park area. This version of our show will have a holiday flair appropriate for seasonal entertainment including an audience sing-a-long.
We are honored to share the stage with Mark Burnell celebrated keyboard artist and in-demand music director/ vocalist. Mark is featured in numerous gala performances and notable jazz and gospel concerts based in Chicago and worldwide.
