FOX VALLEY INVITES THE COMMUNITY TO ENJOY THE DUPAGE HISPANIC ALLIANCE’S LATIN AMERICAN MARKETPLACE

This holiday season, Fox Valley, a three-story shopping center serving generations of Aurora/Naperville-area visitors (www.ShopFoxValleyMall.com), together with the DuPage Hispanic Alliance, a non-profit organization that showcases Latino culture in the western suburbs, will host the Midwest’s largest artisan Latin American Marketplace on Saturday, December 14th (from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.), and Sunday, December 15th (from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.). The market will feature more than 40 vendors selling everything from handcrafted purses and finely carved alebrijes (brightly colored Mexican folk art sculptures of fantastical creatures) to jewelry, clothing and more. There will also be tamales, empanadas, coffee and mouth-watering desserts. Guests over 21 (with valid ID) will be able to sample signature themed cocktails such as Coquito, a Puerto Rican eggnog, or Sangria. Shoppers will find fun stocking stuffers including Mexican pastries and candies. Throughout the event, guests will enjoy watching folklorico dance performances, creating unique arts and crafts, and playing traditional Mexican games.
