Students United for Reproductive Justice Documentary and Craft Fair

Students United for Reproductive Justice (SURJ) is a student organization that hosts a multitude of free services for the surrounding community, including sexual education seminars, reproductive justice trainings and events, and manning a peer-to-peer contraceptive distribution network with free sexual health items. However, SURJ pays for everything through community donations and out of pocket since the university the students reside on is a Catholic institution and they prohibit the distribution of contraceptives on its campus. The university does not provide these sexual health resources for its students, so SURJ volunteers takes it on themselves to bring these services to their community. SURJ's annual craft fair helps fundraise for our yearly operations while uplifting local artisans and reproductive justice values. This year, SURJ's Craft Fair will take place at Facets, a local and independent theater, featuring a student-made documentary on the contraceptive ban and the student work fighting against the policy, called "Student Body". After the documentary, a panel featuring the creative team behind the film and SURJ members will take place. Please consider joining us for a wonderful night of community and solidarity!
