Film 101: Film Foundations - Age 8-10 | FACETS Summer Film Camps

FACETS’ Film 101 summer camp has been loved by kids, teens, and parents for 30 years! Past campers have gone on to become filmmakers, festival programmers and film archivists. Expert media educators teach campers film appreciation, production, film history, and critique. Campers learn the vocabulary of cinema, watch great films, talk and create an original short film. For the very first time this fun and engaging camp has been extended to two weeks to provide more time for focused hands-on film production! Graduates of Film 101 & Film 102 are invited to participate in the Children’s and Youth Juries of the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival. CICFF is the largest children’s film festival in the world and an Oscar®-qualifying children’s film festival.
