Say No to the Peoples Gas Rate Hike
Event to show opposition to continued rate increases by Peoples Gas organized by the Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition in Daley Plaza. This rate hike would result in every monthly gas bill increasing by over $10 and keep us reliant on fossil fuels until the end of the century. There are more cost effective ways for Peoples Gas to address safety concerns that do not push more Chicagoans into the decision between heating and groceries for the month. There will be short speeches from experts to learn more about the issue and learn how to take further actions.
