The Way Out Quintet - Album Release
The Way Out features music appropriate for the public spaces of a bar, café or coffee shop while maintaining an esthetic equally appropriate for the concert hall. In additon to the influences of composers such as Debussy and Stravinsky, the music draws inspiration from the Progressive Rock movement as well with its jazzy harmonies, intricate segues and interconnective concept approach to album construction. This concert seeks to erode the distinctions between popular and art and exists in the contradictions that are assumed to exist between these two styles. Ultimately, it is born out of the love and respect for both. It's the chamber music experience you've been waiting for!
