Holiday Promise
The Symphony of Oak Park & River Forest presents “Holiday Promise” on Sunday, December 15, at 4 pm at Concordia University’s Chapel in River Forest. Associate Conductor Maurice Boyer will lead the orchestra in Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, Beethoven’s Concerto No. 5 “Emperor” featuring pianist Kuang-Hao Huang, and Copland’s Tender Land suite. A free preconcert lecture begins at 3 pm, and a free reception follows the concert. A drawing for Nutcracker-related gifts will be held during the reception. Tickets are $30 when purchased online by December 14, and $35 on concert day. Students through college are admitted free of charge. Parking is available in the garage at Bonnie Brae and Thomas, and the Chapel is just west of the garage. This concert is supported in part by grants from Cook County Arts, The Gaylord & Dorothy Donnelley Foundation, the Illinois Arts Council, and the Oak Park Area Arts Council.
