20th Annual CHIditarod
The Chiditarod is a one-of-a-kind event that brings together participants of all ages for a fun-filled day of racing, giving, and celebrating the spirit of community. Teams of friends, family, and coworkers design creative carts, don costumes, and race through the city while collecting donations for local food banks, shelters, and nonprofits. The event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years, with proceeds benefiting organizations such as the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Nourishing Hope, and Care for Friends. This year, in celebration of its 20th anniversary, Chiditarod will officially cross the $1 million mark in total funds raised for local charities since the event’s inception. It’s a testament to the generosity and enthusiasm of the Chicago community, and the organizers are excited to continue that tradition in 2025.
