“Chair-ish” Exhibition at the Cleve Carney Museum of Art

Cleve Carney Museum of Art (CCMA) presents “Chair-ish” the first collaborative exhibition between Chicago-based artists Alex Chitty and Norman Teague, Jan. 22- April 11. In this exhibition, Chitty and Teague explore material, memory and spatial dialogue through distinct yet complementary practices. The exhibition invites viewers to consider how materials carry personal and collective significance, and how space can serve as a site for inquiry, assembly, and reimagining. Chitty and Teague have come together through a shared passion for materiality and an interest in blurring the boundaries between form and function. Grounded in fine art practices, both artists explore the intimacy of objects encountered in everyday life and question the meaning of “function.”
