Golf For A Cause At Chicago Scots’ 23rd Annual Kilted Classic Golf Tournament To Raise Money For Eld

Chicago Scots, the first and oldest non-profit organization in Illinois, is celebrating Scotland’s greatest contribution to the world of sports – golf! – when the 23rd Annual Kilted Classic Golf Tournament returns to Cantigny Golf Club on Thursday, September 26. The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 11:00am. Proceeds benefit Chicago Scots principal charity, Caledonia Senior Living & Memory Care. Roscoe Company is the Presenting Sponsor of this annual tournament and the Roscoe Massed Putt at this very Scottish tournament. All players ranging from novice to advanced are invited to join. Registration is available online for foursome, pairs or single players. Kilts can be rented at check in on tournament day. Measuring instructions are available on www.chicagoscots.org. All golfers have the opportunity to win a bottle of whisky on every hole, a golf trip to Scotland with airfare for two or a custom club fitting sponsored by Roscoe president Jim Buik. The tournament features skill competitions with the Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin and fun challenges including the Nessie Challenge or Beat the Scot against Gus Noble OBE, Chicago Scots’ President. Bagpipes, Highland Dancing, and Scottish trivia complete the Scottish fanfare. The annual Kilted Classic is one of many events the Chicago Scots host annually to help raise funds for their principal charity, Caledonia Senior Living & Memory Care, as well as raise cultural awareness and develop relationships across sectors in both Scotland and North America. The Chicago Scots are guided by three values: equality, education and enterprise. To learn more about their mission and various yearly events such as their upcoming St. Andrew’s Day Gala in December, please visit the ‘about us’ section of the Chicago Scots website: www.chicagoscots.org. About Chicago Scots Founded as the Illinois Saint Andrew Society in 1845, when Chicago was a small frontier town, population 12,000, the Chicago Scots is the first and longest running charitable organization in Illinois. Chicago Scots is the only non-profit of its kind in the world, authentically rooted in Scottish traditions, values and community, while providing excellent senior care across a full continuum of service. In addition to preserving and strengthening the enduring bonds of friendship between Scotland and North America by hosting events that educate, entertain, and promote Scottish culture, the Chicago Scots support one of the finest senior living and memory care campuses in greater Chicagoland – Caledonia Senior Living & Memory Care in North Riverside, IL. Purposeful and proactive in the approach, the Chicago Scots are consistently on the cutting-edge of care for the residents of Caledonia Senior Living, where there was not a single resident COVID fatality during the pandemic.
