Aguijón Theater, Chicago's oldest professional Latino theater company, proudly presents ADVERSES, a provocative tragicomedy by Rey Andújar. Directed by Sándor Menéndez and Marcela Muñoz, ADVERSES will run through December 15, 2024 at Aguijón Theater, located in the heart of the Belmont Cragin neighborhood.
Jealousy and intrigue run rampant in the city of Palacio. At the heart of the conflict is the powerful and ambitious Clitemnestra Sor, whose iron grip on power is threatened by the vengeful Electra Casados, her daughter. As secrets are exposed and relationships are tested, ADVERSES reveals the destructive forces at play in the pursuit of power, and the fraught, often complicated, nature of the mother-daughter relationship.
