Spend in the Black

Join us on April 4 from 10 AM to 6 PM at 75th & King Drive for a powerful day of community, culture, and economic impact. Spend In The Black is more than just an event, it’s a movement dedicated to uplifting Black-owned businesses and keeping Black dollars circulating within the community. Experience a vibrant outdoor marketplace filled with Black-owned vendors, delicious food trucks, and local entrepreneurs offering everything from food and fashion to beauty, wellness, and lifestyle products. This is a space to shop with purpose, connect, and celebrate Black excellence. This year’s event will feature appearances from influential voices in culture, food, media, and entertainment, including Englewood Barbie, along with major food platforms like Black People Eats, plus a wide range of creators, tastemakers, and community leaders. Attendees may also catch appearances from notable guests such as Twista, Larenz Tate, Jason Weaver, and comedian Mojo Brooks, alongside some of Chicago’s most recognized influencers and media personalities. The event is already generating buzz across the city, with support and coverage from major urban radio stations like WGCI 107.5 FM and Power 92, two of the leading hip-hop and R&B stations reaching Chicago’s Black community. From live content creation to community storytelling, Spend In The Black will be amplified by some of the most influential voices in Chicago media—bringing visibility not just to the event, but to the businesses and people behind it. Come hungry, come ready to shop, and come ready to connect. Whether you’re discovering new brands, supporting local entrepreneurs, or just enjoying the atmosphere, this is where community and commerce come together.
