Haymarket Center 50th Anniversary Gala
Join us for a special evening celebrating Haymarket Center’s 50th Anniversary. Our Haymarket Gala is an opportunity to reflect on our history and share our vision for the future. The event shines a light on the success of our innovative services, the growth we have achieved and the thousands of lives we have touched since our founder, Monsignor Ignatius McDermott, began his mission in 1975, walking the streets of Chicago to save one life at a time.
The evening will feature a conversation with Actor & Producer Christian Slater as he shares his own recovery journey. Christian Slater, a multifaceted artist, began his career on Broadway at the age of nine in The Music Man alongside Dick Van Dyke. He made his film debut in 1985 with a leading role in The Legend of Billie Jean. Since then, Slater has had an impressive career spanning film, television, and stage, as well as behind-the-scenes work as a producer. He has received notable recognition for his role as the title character in the critically acclaimed drama Mr. Robot, earning both a Golden Globe and a Critics’ Choice Award alongside Rami Malek.
