The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists invites you to join us for our annual gathering, Conversations Before Midnight, on Thursday, November 12, 2026, in Chicago.
This year’s gathering takes on special significance. Coming just days after the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, we will bring together members of our Board of Sponsors, Science and Security Board, and Governing Board to ask what the results mean for nuclear risk, climate change, and the rise of disruptive technologies. Will new governing coalitions present new challenges or make room for new solutions?
The evening features a new format: a Keynote Discussion with Q&A for all ticket buyers, followed by a dinner for sponsors and guests.
Conversations Before Midnight raises critical funds to sustain the Bulletin’s independent journalism and expert analysis—work the world relies on to understand and respond to existential risks when it matters most.
We look forward to seeing you on November 12 at Venue SIX10 in downtown Chicago.
