C. C. Coddington owned Duke Mansion from 1926-1928. He was a business leader and entrepreneur celebrated for his impact on Charlotte's economy as an early Buick distributor, a founder of WBT radio, and even a supporter of the first Charlotte Motor Speedway in Pineville. The Coddington story includes a wonderful love story as well.
