Grand Opening: Kolapasi Indian Canteen (Steele Creek)
Kolapasi – dubbed the “Chipotle” of Indian food – is celebrating the Grand Opening of its second location in North America with its first store in Charlotte. This community celebration is an opportunity for all living in the Charlotte area to *See. Taste. Order.*, Kolapasi’s proprietary approach to menu selection, which encourages taste and cultural exploration through sampling, while ensuring that all guests get the spice level and flavor sensation of their preference. The community will enjoy limitless samples, handcrafted merchandise (while supplies last) and charitable contribution opportunities - 20 percent of proceeds will be donated to Charlotte-based nonprofit, Javesca Feeds, which supports frontline feeding programs locally and around the world.
Kolapasi, which is how you say “extremely hungry” in South India, has built a reputation based on cultural values and extraordinary taste at its many locations in India and Australia, and is expanding its footprint in North America with the new store in Charlotte serving as the model for future stores.
