Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa is hosting a tequila pairing dinner with Don Julio. The event will take place at the resort’s newly-renovated Tanglewood – A Southern Kitchen and will feature a seven-course menu featuring flavors from the South and Southwest expertly paired with premium tequila tastings.
The dining experience begins with a welcome tasting of Don Julio Blanco tequila paired with biscuits and cornbread served with Chef’s signature Mexican street corn butter. The menu will continue with an amuse course of a Nopales cactus and a green tomato chowchow paired with a tasting of Don Julio Reposado, followed by a serving of house-made pozole. The appetizer course will consist of shrimp & grits with a chili lime emulsion paired with Don Julio Alma Miel, and the entrée will feature an Acapulco margarita corvina served with a hominy bisque and paired with the Don Julio Anejo 1942. The dining experience will conclude with a dessert of a dark chocolate baked mousse tart served with house-made horchata ice cream, cinnamon sugar tuile paired with a Don Julio Anejo espresso martini.
The event will take place on Friday, January 31 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. It is $98 per person, plus tac and gratuity, and tickets can be purchased by calling (239) 444-1234.
