Better Together Community Job Fair
Better Together, a nonprofit dedicated to families and children, is partnering with Fort Myers Community Church to host a community job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28 in Fort Myers.
Registration is now open for hiring employers and job seekers to participate in the January event. The church-based job fair connects job seekers with local employers who are ready to hire, while also providing resources to facilitate stronger connections and more hires. Free one-on-one job coaching sessions are available to job seekers to review resumes and interviewing skills, and additional services will be available onsite.
The community job fair is part of Better Together’s “Better Jobs” program, which has helped nearly 40,000 applicants connect with employment opportunities across 24 states. At job fairs hosted by Better Together, two-thirds of attendees get a job interview, and 1 in 4 receive a job offer on the spot. Some 70% find work within six weeks.
The Jan. 28 job fair will take place at Fort Myers Community Church, located at 8400 Cypress Lake Drive in Fort Myers. Job seekers and employers can register at BetterTogetherUS.org/FMCC or by texting “JOBS” to 844-987-3949.
