“Cool to Be Square” Art Exhibit Opens at the Fort Myers Beach Art Association

Fort Myers Beach, FL — The Fort Myers Beach Art Association invites art lovers to celebrate creativity in perfect proportion at its upcoming exhibition, “Cool to Be Square,” on display from January 5 through January 30, 2026. This fresh and engaging show challenges artists to think inside the box, literally, featuring works created exclusively in a square format.
Our artists produced vibrant abstracts and bold contemporary pieces, delicate watercolors and detailed realism. Each artwork shares one common trait: equal sides that create endless possibilities. The result is a visually dynamic exhibition that proves it’s definitely cool to be square.
Visitors are invited to meet the artists and vote for their favorite piece for the People’s Choice Award.
The Fort Myers Beach Art Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting local art and artists, continues to serve as a vibrant hub for the creative community. The gallery is open Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday, noon to 6 p.m. Admission is free, and donations are always appreciated.
