Not Another Boring Art Auction
Keiras Kougars Care, INC., a nonprofit dedicated to easing the financial burden for brain cancer patients and their families, will host its inaugural fundraising event, Not Another Boring Art Auction, on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 6 p.m. at the Alliance for the Arts.
The event, led by licensed auctioneer David Wade, will feature artwork created by local brain cancer patients. Proceeds will directly assist families by covering essential medical expenses, including scans, surgeries, therapy, and daily living costs.
Brain cancer, symbolized by the color gray, affects thousands of families each year. This event aims to bring awareness and support through vibrant, curated artwork that transforms the world of grey into color. Attendees are encouraged to wear bright colors as a statement of solidarity against brain cancer.
Founder Sara Crosby established Keiras Kougars Care, INC., after losing her daughter, Keira Jordan, to brain cancer. Her firsthand experience with the emotional and financial toll of the disease inspired her to create a resource for families facing similar hardships.
