The Choir of St. Louis Church presents "A Choral Evening"
The Choir of St. Louis Church will present A Choral Evening on Thursday, May 21st at 7:30 pm in St. Louis Church, Main and Edward Streets in downtown Buffalo.
The program is free and open to all. Featured will be works of Farrant, Palestrina, Gabrieli, Ouseley, Friedel, di Lasso, and others.
The St. Louis Choir is an all-volunteer parish ensemble founded in 1879. Its members rehearse each Thursday evening and lead the musical worship at 11:00 am on Sundays. The Choir’s repertoire spans nine centuries of sacred music and nearly every style of western composition. In past years, the Choir has performed in collaboration with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Ars Nova Musicians, Camerata di San Antonio Chamber Orchestra, Greater Buffalo Opera Company, Opera Sacra, and the Dave Brubeck Quartet.
