A Magical Motown Christmas comes to the Riviera Theatre in North Tonawanda on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at 7:30 PM.
Celebrate the season with a high-energy production that combines the timeless sound of Motown with beloved holiday favorites for a festive night of music, memories and first-class entertainment.
The show stars Detroit’s The Shades of Blue, the iconic vocal group behind the 1966 Billboard hit “Oh How Happy!” The group was inducted into the Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame in 2015 in recognition of its lasting contribution to American music.
The all-star cast includes:
Stuart Avig – Original lead singer of The Valadiers and the voice behind the 1961 Motown recording “Greetings (This Is Uncle Sam).”
Charles Davis – Former lead singer of The Contours who toured internationally performing the classic “Do You Love Me” on the Dirty Dancing tour.
Delbert Nelson – Former lead singer with the legendary Funk Brothers.
Raymond Ward – Former lead singer of The Fantastic Four.
Sheila Taylor – Niece of Levi Stubbs of The Four Tops.
Baby Ray Moore – Acclaimed drummer who has performed with Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Ali-Ollie Woodson of The Temptations.
Tom Loncaric – Accomplished pianist, keyboardist and musical director who has performed with artists ranging from Little Anthony to The Miracles.
Back by popular demand, special guest Chris Ruggiero returns to the Riviera Theatre for the third consecutive year. Seen on PBS and Good Morning America, Chris brings his signature warmth and timeless vocal style to this joyful holiday celebration.
Audiences can expect dynamic choreography, breathtaking harmonies, dazzling costumes and classic songs associated with The Temptations, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, The Four Tops, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Michael Jackson, The Spinners and many more.
