The Pull is a group exhibition featuring print-based works by Noah Breuer, Mark Dion, Adele Henderson, Taro Takizawa, and Ola Volo. Spanning diverse disciplines, the exhibition explores printmaking as both a material process and a conceptual framework.
The works on display reflect a wide range of themes and techniques - from political commentary and social reflection to narrative, cultural memory, and abstraction. Featured works include screenprints, monotypes, relief prints, and experimental hybrid forms.
Several pieces were made at Mirabo Press, including collaborations with Mark Dion and Ola Volo, highlighting the studio’s commitment to supporting new print-based work.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Noah Breuer
Noah Breuer is an American artist and printmaker whose work explores themes of family history, labor, and diaspora through print-based media and installation. Drawing on archival materials from his family’s pre-war textile printing business in Bohemia, Breuer reinterprets historical designs using contemporary techniques; his work is held in collections including the New York Public Library, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Mark Dion
Mark Dion is an internationally recognized artist whose installations, prints, and research-based projects examine how knowledge about the natural world is produced and displayed. Dion investigates ways knowledge is constructed, classified, and presented revealing the cultural and ideological assumptions behind institutional authority and colonial collecting practices. His work has been exhibited at institutions including the Tate, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Guggenheim Bilbao.

Adele Henderson
Adele Henderson is a printmaker whose work often engages environmental, social, and political themes through complex abstract and diagrammatic compositions. She has exhibited widely in the United States and internationally, and her prints are held in major collections including the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.

Taro Takizawa
Taro Takizawa is a contemporary artist whose practice spans printmaking, drawing, and installation. Born in Japan, his work blends Western and Eastern visual traditions and is influenced by Japanese pattern design, architecture, and craft; he received an MFA in printmaking from Syracuse University and has exhibited internationally in Europe, Asia, and the United States.

Ola Volo
Ola Volo is a Kazakh-Canadian artist known for intricate compositions that merge folklore, pattern, and narrative imagery. Working across murals, illustration, and gallery-based works, her practice draws on multicultural storytelling traditions and has been commissioned internationally for both public artworks and exhibitions.
