Let this colorful collection lift your spirits and welcome you into spring! Learn a little more about the featured artists below: Mallorn Mosaics Johanna C. Dominguez is a mosaic artist, poet, nature lover, and the founder of Put a Plant On It in Buffalo, NY. Before opening her tropical plant oasis, Johanna spent years working in the environmental field — a path that deeply shaped her artistic voice and connection to the natural world. Her mosaic journey began as a way to unwind and create without a screen, and quickly turned into a passionate practice. Inspired by the textures and rhythms of nature — and a childhood trip to Italy that sparked a lifelong obsession with ancient Roman mosaics — Johanna brings a modern, organic sensibility to her work. She describes mosaic-making as “a puzzle where you get to reshape the pieces,” and finds calm and creativity in every cut and placement. Each piece she creates is a tribute to natural beauty, imperfection, and intentionality. Johanna is available for custom commissions and loves collaborating on pieces that bring joy, color, and meaning to any space. Laura McMahon “Art has been a lifelong love of mine, and I’m thrilled to share my original works and prints with the world. Each piece reflects my deep connection to nature and my desire to infuse everyday moments with color and emotion.” With a background in both graphic design and elementary education, Laura McMahon brings a unique blend of creativity and clarity to everything she creates. Her true passion lies in watercolor painting, where she specializes in capturing the beauty of florals and landscapes with a distinctive, layered style. Elizabeth Gatto Elizabeth Gatto is a painter, living and working in Buffalo, NY. Her art practice revolves around the relationship between intuition and mixing color. She likes to flow through different mediums often experimenting with what feels beautiful at the time. Elizabeth finds inspiration in botanical imagery, folk art, antiques, and children's books. When she is not painting, she works as an Educator and Program Coordinator at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. The conservatory serves as a constant spark of creativity. Its luminous glass walls filled with organic forms, vibrancy, and bold patterns always inspire productivity. These different muses come together to inform Elizabeth's work.
